The EGPA 2025 Conference, to be hosted by the University of Glasgow’s Centre for Public Policy from 26 to 29 August, is shaping up to be the most dynamic and well-attended edition of the European Group for Public Administration’s annual event.
In this commemorative year marking the 50 thanniversary of EGPA, the Conference received an impressive 889 submissions across the 23 Permanent Study Groups and special tracks, a record for the event. This remarkable response underscores EGPA’s role as the major learned society in the domain ofadministrative sciences on the European continent and reflects the continued vitality of its academic and professional community.
A total of 565 participants have already registered, signalling strong early interest in the event. With limited capacity for key activities such as the official conference dinner, early registration is strongly recommended.
The IIAS Secretariat is working closely with the Chairpersons to shape the programme of parallel sessions, with the University of Glasgow team to ensure an outstanding experience for all participants, and with the EGPA Steering Committee to co-design a distinctive and high-level plenary programme.
The first plenary session has also been confirmed and will address the topic of “EU Relations in Turbulent Times.”
The regular registration rate remains available until 8 August, and we encourage participants to secure their place soon via the official platform (link below).

We look forward to welcoming you in Glasgow for this landmark edition of the EGPA Conference.
